Water level
The water levels shown on this website are measured from the datum of each observation site.

Caution water level
Caution water levels in rivers and sewers indicate a possibility of flooding in the vicinity of the observation site if the water level continues to rise. Caution water levels in roads indicate a flood depth of 10 cm or more.
Keep in mind to take the following precautions.
Keep away from rivers and water channels (sewers).
Take extra caution on roads because the brake on a car may not work properly.
Please check the disaster prevention-related information issued by the evacuation sites, Saitama City, etc.

Warning water level
Warning water levels in rivers and sewers indicate a possibility of flooding in the vicinity of the observation site. Warning water levels in roads indicate a flood depth of 20 cm or more.
Keep off from lowland areas because some areas may be inundated.
Keep away from rivers and water channels (sewers).
Keep away from the roads and avoid driving.
Please check the disaster prevention-related information issued by the evacuation sites, Saitama City, etc.

Normal time
Green colored observation sites are those where its water level is under the caution water level.

Caution water level exceeded
Yellow colored observation sites are those where its water level exceeded the caution water level.

Warning water level exceeded
Red colored observation sites are those where its water level exceeded the warning water level.

Intermission, Data missing
In case of data acqusition failure due to problems of equipment, "X" is shown on the maps and "---" is shown on the record of water-level respectively.
